Sir Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella returns to The Joffrey Ballet! Cinderella grows from a sad young
woman into a beautiful princess, despite the best efforts of her overbearing evil stepsisters
portrayed, as is tradition, by male dancers. The ballet is set to Serge Prokofiev’s brilliant score, breathtaking sets and costumes designed by the brilliant
David Walker. Ashton’s Cinderella is widely considered one of the greatest ballets of this timeless
fairy tale!

The Joffrey presents three memorable and rewarding ballet experiences in one evening. As a tribute to our late co-founder, The Joffrey
will perform Gerald Arpino’s Reflections– high lifts, a flying pace and classic beauty, all set to the
music of Tchaikovsky. The Joffrey also presents two more opportunities to be among the first in the
world to view important new dance works. One world premiere will be created by the innovative James Kudelka. The other is by choreographer Jessica Lang, who is known for her creative vision and emotionally spellbinding work.
