Paulo Rodrigues

Paulo Rodrigues joined The Joffrey Ballet in 2015.

Mr. Rodrigues began his training in São Paulo, Brazil, under the direction of Adriana Assaf. He performed with the Paulista Dance Company for two years as a First Soloist, dancing roles in many ballets including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, La Bayadère, and in modern works by Henrique Talmah. In 2013, he joined the Joffrey Academy of Dance Trainee Program; in 2014 he was chosen to be a Joffrey Studio Company member. He has performed with The Joffrey Ballet in George Balanchine’s Prodigal Son, Christopher Wheeldon’s Swan Lake, and Alexander Ekman’s Tulle. As a Studio Company dancer, he performed works by Justin Allen, Gerald Arpino, Alexei Kremnev, and Stephanie Martinez, and performed at Lincoln Center in New York as part of the Youth America Grand Prix Gala.

In May 2013, he appeared as a model in Vogue Brazil.
