The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University makes every effort possible to accommodate the needs of all members of the community and is dedicated to complying fully to the American’s with Disabilities Act. We are especially sensitive to the needs of patrons with accessibility needs and provide the following information so all patron may avail themselves to the services of The Joffrey Ballet and the Auditorium Theatre.
Accessible Seating:
Accessible tickets can be purchased at the box office (located at 10 E Randolph St) or by calling 312.386.8905. PLEASE NOTE: Nearly all the seats in the theater require patrons to navigate steps in the lobby spacke and/or in the house. If you need assistance please call 312.386.8905, or visit the Patron Services Office at The Auditorium Theatre in Aisle 1.
Patron Services:
The Patron Services Office is located just inside Aisle One (1) of the main floor and is open during all performances to assist guests with any needs.
Auditorium’s Accessible Entrance:
The theatre’s main entrance, at 50 E Congress, requires patrons to navigate three steps to enter the lobby. An alternative accessible entrance is located just west of the main entrance, near the corner of Congress Pkway & Wabash Ave, allowing patrons to access the main floor of the theatre without the need to navigate any steps. This entrance is open at all times the theatre is open to the public and is staffed by a Customer Service Representative who will help patrons locate their seats.
Accessible Washrooms:
Two (2) accessible unisex washrooms are located on the main floor for patrons who cannot navigate a flight of stairs dow to the main washrooms located in the lower level lobby. Additional accessible washrooms, including a family washroom, are located on the third floor.
Accessible Concession and Merchandise Counters:
The main floor lobby bar is accessible to patrons in wheelchairs. If a patron requires further aid, staff will provide appropriate assistance.
Assistive Listening Devices:
Patrons can obtain infrared assistive listening devices from coat check, which is open seasonally. When coat check is closed, assistive listening devices can be obtained from Patron Services, located off aisle one (1) of the main floor. Assistive listening devices can be secured by leaving a photo ID and are free of charge.
Elevator:
Our elevator services each of the 6 seating levels of the Theatre. It is located in the North West corner of the lobby.
