Joffrey Ballet Annual Fund

The Joffrey’s 2009-2010 Season has been incredibly rewarding. The company has mastered Lar Lubovitch’s Othello and Sir Frederick Ashton’s demanding Cinderella, brought new life to Robert Joffrey’s classic Nutcracker and presented world premieres by Jessica Lang and James Kudelka. The Joffrey is committed to creating new works, polishing classics, and sharing these works with a broad and diverse audience.

The Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, has become the preeminent center for dance education in Chicago. Eight awards were presented to six of our students for classical and contemporary dance in the regionals at the Youth America Grand Prix, the world’s largest international student dance competition. The Joffrey’s Community Engagement Programs have continued to provide exceptional educational outreach to 4,000 students annually.

As the Joffrey’s 2009-2010 Season comes to an end, we ask for your support to raise $137,500 so that we may reach our Annual Fund goal. Since ticket sales cover less than half of our operating expenses, we rely on the Annual Fund and other fundraising to enable us to pursue our mission of artistic excellence and innovation.

Please support the Annual Fund with a gift before June 30, 2010 – your contribution allows us to present outstanding productions and exceptional educational programs.
