Ashley Wheater, Artistic Director of The Joffrey Ballet is pleased to announce its annual Summer Intensive program in Chicago. The Summer Intensive is a two week workshop with classes Monday through
Saturday each week, culminating with an in-studio performance the final Saturday. The dates are Monday, July 14, 2008 through Saturday, July 26, 2008.
It has always been the goal of Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino to train and mentor some of America’s brightest young dancers.
To that end, The Joffrey Ballet’s program is designed to develop a strong ballet technique, to learn ballets from The Joffrey’s repertoire, and to understand dance
history, health management and the wonderful opportunity this art form has to offer.
Classes will be taught by Ashley Wheater and the artistic staff.
