The Joffrey Ballet

2004

Our Story

The Joffrey pays tribute to Sir Frederick Ashton

with its Winter Program, Ashton

Anniversary, including Les Patineurs,

Monotones I & II, and A Wedding

Bouquet.

Gerald Arpino premieres Ruth: Ricordi Per Due, commissioned and underwritten through a generous gift from Barbara Levy Kipper, in honor of her mother, Ruth Doctoroff Levy.

In July, The Joffrey returns to New York City to

celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ashton´s birth.

The company shares the stage at the Metropolitan Opera

House with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the K-Ballet

Company.

The Joffrey premieres George Balanchine´s

Apollo at Ravinia Festival in September.
