Our Story
Music icon, Prince, was so impressed with The Joffrey Ballet after seeing a performance, he agreed to contribute the use of his music to Gerald Arpino, who conceived and produced the rock blockbuster Billboards. Arpino enlists four additional cutting edge choreographers to create ballets for the full evening work. The set, incorporating five billboards, was designed by Herbert Migdoll and was inspired by Prince and the four choreographers: Laura Dean, Margo Sappington, Charlie Moulton and Peter Pucci. This production dramatically expanded The Joffrey audience with the help of Prince´s very special music.
