JENNIFER GOODMAN

joined The Joffrey Ballet in September 1993, after performing with The
Joffrey II Dancers from September 1992 through May 1993. She was a scholarship student at
The Joffrey Ballet School’s summer workshop in 1992.

Among
many roles danced with The Joffrey Ballet, Goodman’s portrayal of Clara in Robert
Joffrey’s THE NUTCRACKER was singled out by Chicago Tribune dance critic Sid Smith as
“delightful and almost heartbreaking.”

While a member of Joffrey II, Goodman guested with the Mobile (Ala.)
Ballet, performing PUSS-N-BOOTS and CANARY FAIRY, and in HANSEL AND GRETEL with the
Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit. She has also danced as a guest artist with the Oakland
(Mich.) Festival Ballet in pas de deuces from LE CORSAIRE and BLUEBIRD.

Goodman has “always dreamed of being a dancer.” She began
studying ballet, tap, and jazz at age 5 with Mary Kashinsky at the Romeo (Mich.) Civic
Ballet, where she remained for 11 years. She continued her training at Geiger Classic
Ballet with Mary Gieger (1990-91) before moving on to the Rochester (Mich.) School of
Ballet, where she studied with Cornelia Sampson (1991-92).
