Joffrey Ballet of Chicago

Fabrice Calmels was born in Colombes, France and raised in Paris. He began his ballet training at the Paris Opera School and studied there for eight years, working with school director Claude Bessy. In 1998, Fabrice moved to the United States, where he has danced at the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Boston Ballet, and the School of American Ballet. While in Pennsylvania, he danced in The Nutcracker and in Dracula; in Boston, he had roles in Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadre. Upon joining the Joffrey in the fall of 2002, he immediately danced in several supporting roles in Robert Joffreys The Nutcracker.

Fabrices interestes include attending theater and acting.
