Julieanne Kepley began her ballet studies at the age of eight at the Atlanta School of Ballet, also training with Atlanta Ballet II, Boston Ballet II, the School of American ballet, and the Capital City Ballet. She cites the late Tom Pazik, her teacher and mentor of ten years, as a major influence on her career.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Julieanne was a principal dancer with the Atlanta Ballet from 1994 to 2002. There, her repertoire included Balanchine’s Serenade, Allegro Brilliante, and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland, and in Romeo and Juliet.

Delighted to join the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago in August of 2002, she has since danced the parts of Kate in John Cranko’s The Taming of the Shrew and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Robert Joffrey’s The Nutcracker.

Julieanne enjoys teaching ballet, watching college basketball, and playing with her two bulldogs, Gus and Gigi.
