Allison Walsh joined The Joffrey Ballet as an Arpino Apprentice in August 2004 and was promoted to full company dancer in August 2005.

Prior to The Joffrey, Ms. Walsh danced with the Washington Ballet Studio Company for one season, dancing roles from the Balanchine, Forsythe, Webre, and Evans repertoire.

Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Ms. Walsh trained at the Maryland Youth Ballet, in addition to training on full scholarship at the summer programs of the School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the Chantauqua Institute. She also enjoyed the opportunity to dance in the corps of American Ballet Theater’s winter 2003 production of Romeo and Juliet.

Since becoming an apprentice, Ms. Walsh has performed in The Clowns, Le Sacre du Printemps, The Nutcracker, Petrouchka, and Square Dance.
