Lauren Stewart joined The Joffrey Ballet as an Arpino Apprentice in 2004.
Originally from Manchester, New Hampshire, she trained at Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater with Patricia Lavoie and spent summers at the School of American Ballet (SAB). Ms. Stewart received additional training at Ballet Academy East and at STEPS on Broadway in New York City.
In January 2003, Ms. Stewart was selected through special audition to perform with American Ballet Theater in Macmillan´s Romeo and Juliet at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. She has also performed professionally with Cincinnati Ballet.
Since becoming an apprentice, Ms. Stewart has performed in Le Sacre du Printemps, Petrouchka, and The Nutcracker.
