Jennifer Goodman joined The Joffrey Ballet in September 1993, after performing with The Joffrey II Dancers from September 1992 through May 1993. She was a scholarship student at The Joffrey Ballet School’s summer workshop in 1992.

Ms. Goodman began studying ballet, tap, and jazz at age five with Mary Kashinsky at The Romeo Civic Ballet (Michigan), where she remained for 11 years. She won first place in her level at 1988 The Cecchetti Council of America summer program. In 1990 she continued her training at Geiger Classic ballet with Mary Geiger before moving on to the Rochester School of Ballet in Michigan where she studied with Cornelia Sampson until 1992.

Among many roles danced with The Joffrey Ballet, Ms. Goodman´s portrayal of Clara in Robert Joffrey´s The Nutcracker was singled out by Chicago Tribune dance critic Sid Smith as, “delightful and almost heartbreaking.”

While a member of The Joffrey Ballet, Ms. Goodman has performed an extensive repertoire, including: Billboards, Birthday Variations, Confetti, Kettentanz, L´Apres Midi D´Un Faune, La Vivandiere Pas de Six, Le Sacre Du Printemps, Les Noces, Les Patineurs, Les Presages, Light Rain, Lilac Garden, Monotones I, Nuestros Valses, Parade, Pas Des Deesses, Reflections, Rodeo, Romeo and Juliet, Square Dance, Suite Saint-Saens, The Green Table, The Taming of the Shrew, Valentine, Viva Vivaldi, and A Wedding Bouquet.
