David Gombert

David Gombert joined The Joffrey Ballet in 1999 as an Arpino Apprentice, participated in The Joffrey´s 2000 & 2001 Midwest Summer Workshops in Flint, Michigan, and became a company member in the fall of 2002.
Mr. Gombert, a native Chicagoan, began his ballet training with Larry Long at the Ruth Page Foundation. He furthered his dance training at the Chicago Academy for the Arts, where he studied modern dance under Randy Duncan.
Since joining The Joffrey Ballet, Mr. Gombert has danced roles in Creative Force, I/DNA, Le Sacre Du Printemps, Les Noces, Les Patineurs, Les Presages, The Nutcracker, Parade, Petrouchka, Prodigal Son, Romeo and Juliet, Square Dance, Suite Saint Saens, Tensile Involvement, The Taming of the Shrew, and A Wedding Bouquet.
Mr. Gombert played the role of Justin in Robert Altman´s 2003 feature film “The Company.”
