Derrick Agnoletti joined The Joffrey Ballet as a seasonal dancer in 2003, became an Arpino Apprentice in 2004, and was promoted to full company dancer in August 2005.

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Mr. Agnoletti trained at the San Jose Cleveland Ballet School and received scholarships to San Francisco Ballet School, School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre summer intensives. Prior to joining The Joffrey Ballet, he danced with the University of California – Irvine Etude Ensemble, where he was mentored by Donald McKayle. For two consecutive years, Mr. Agnoletti studied and performed with the Paris Conservatoire National Superieur exchange program.

Since joining The Joffrey Ballet, Mr. Agnoletti has performed Le Sacre Du Printemps, The Nutcracker, N.Y. Export: Opus Jazz!, Petrouchka, Romeo and Juliet, Square Dance, Viva Vivaldi, and A Wedding Bouquet. His other interests include various outdoor sports, the Chicago Cubs, volunteering, and spending time with his family and friends in California.
