MoPeD®
More People Dancing
“Join The Movement!”
MoPeD® is a cutting-edge approach to movement and body awareness, no front or back and no steps to learn. It’s a fun aerobic improv session mixed with a twist of experiential anatomy. The class is guided through an arc, so that the participants take themselves through a beginning, middle, and an end − a warm up, the chance to get one’s heart rate up, and a cool down. The focus is directed on one’s personal experience so the student has the potential to reach a profound awareness of what his or her body is saying to him or her; or they can just have fun and get exercise. The experience is like a dance party with yoga undertones.
The goal is to encourage more people to dance and experience the benefits of thoughtful movement without the fears of retaining choreography or following along.
Int. / Adv. Contemporary Jazz
Thoughtful movement gives way for dynamic expression, release, joy and physical growth. Ronn’s unique approach to technical dance feels great on the body and brings multiple layers of images together to allow dancers to reach their desired results.
