Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, is located in the Exelon Education Center at Joffrey Tower in Chicago, Illinois and is the only training program owned, operated or endorsed by The Joffrey Ballet.  The Joffrey Ballet is not affiliated with any other Joffrey dance training or school program.  For more information, please contact The Joffrey Ballet at 312.784.4600.

Second Semester 2009-2010 Class Schedule – (Ages 3-9)

There is no placement audition needed for the Children’s Division.  Class placement is based upon the age of the student at the time when the semester begins.  Students will be observed during the first few weeks of class to ensure proper placement.

All students will be placed based on age and experience. Teachers access students on a continual basis. Students may be moved to a different level after being originally placed in class only on teacher’s discretion.

Students in the Childrens Division must sign up for the entire semester.

Drop-ins and class cards are not allowed.

Second Semester 2009-2010 Important Dates

(January 25, 2010 – June 6, 2010)

 •  Priority Registration for Returning Students: January 4-10, 2010

  o Returning students may begin registering for Second Semester classes

 •  New Student Registration: January 11, 2010

  o New students may begin registering for Second Semester classes

 •  Spring break: March 29 – April 4, 2010

  o No classes will be held during this time for any division
 •  Memorial Day: May 31, 2010

  o No classes will be held during this time for any division
 •  Year End Performance: June 5, 2010 Times TBA
***When the Academy is closed during regularly scheduled classes, you have the entire semester to make-up class.  Classes can be made-up in your level or the level below.
