| Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, is located in the Exelon Education Center at Joffrey Tower in Chicago, Illinois and is the only training program owned, operated or endorsed by The Joffrey Ballet. Children’s Division Attire
The Academy of Dance maintains a dress code to encourage improved concentration. Students are required to wear the color leotard assigned to their level. Students who are not properly attired may be asked to leave class in order to change into appropriate clothing.
Creative Movement – Boy’s Jaguars – Pre Ballet – Pre Tap
Girls Required:
Pink leotard, pink footed tights and pink ballet slippers (tap shoes if applicable).
Recommended: Plain pink ballet skirt optional. Canvas spilt sole ballet slippers.
Boys Required:
White fitted t-shirt, black shorts, white socks and white ballet slippers (tap shoes if applicable).
Ballet I
Girls Required:
Pink camisole leotard, pink footed tights and pink ballet slippers.
Recommended: Mirella leotard style M207C or Capezio style CC101 child, Canvas split sole ballet slippers.
Boys Required:
White fitted t-shirt, black shorts, white socks and white ballet slippers.
Ballet II
Girls Required: Light Blue camisole leotard, pink footed tights and pink ballet slippers.
Recommended: Mirella leotard style M207C or Capezio style CC101 Child, Canvas split sole ballet slippers.
Boys Required:
White fitted t-shirt, black shorts, white socks and white ballet slippers
Beginning Jazz
Solid colored leotard, black jazz pants, black jazz shoes
General Uniform Reminders:
• Uniforms should be kept clean and neat. Holes and frayed edges must be mended.
• Warm-up attire may not be worn during class.
• Long hair should be pulled up securely, a neat bun is required.
• Watches, jewelry and safety pins should not be worn into the studio.
• Dance shoes should never be worn outside the building.
