This weekend: Joffrey's Winning Works

This weekend the Joffrey Academy of Dance presents Winning Works: Joffrey's Choreographers of Color Award performance. The second annual program highlights three up-and-coming minority choreographers selected to set a new work on Joffrey Academy trainees. The three world premieres will be presented this Sunday at Harris Theater in what should be a standout show.

The featured choreographers include:

Carols dos Santos Jr., who will present a contemporary piece en pointe.

Ray Mercer, who will show a fast-paced work with intricate partnering.

Bennyroyce Royon, who will present a piece that mixes ballet with edgy modern dance.
