Individual Giving ManagerMAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES The Individual Giving Manager reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for planning, implementing and soliciting donations between $1 and $999. The Individual Giving Manager manages all activities to support the Joffrey’s Annual Fund related to the Friends of the Joffrey, the Joffrey Auxiliary Board, and the Joffrey Circle, including direct mail appeals, fundraising and cultivation events, and the stewardship program for these membership groups.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of development experience necessary. Have a proven track record of accomplishment and success in development and fundraising in a major arts or related organization. Be a self-starter with the ability to make decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Have the ability to speak persuasively with donors and prospective donors about the needs and goals of The Joffrey. Ability to take an active role in solicitations, and confidently lead, inspire and organize Board and volunteer leadership. Excellent strategic, technical, and organizational skills required. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus. Excellent computer skills required. Must be professional, detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, additional hours as required.
APPLICABLE PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: General mobility in office areas. Ability to operate data processing and other office equipment.

Managing Director, Joffrey Academy, Official School of The Joffrey BalletWidely regarded as one of the world’s foremost dance training centers, Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet is currently accepting applications for Managing Director. The position oversees all administrative and operational components including finance, marketing, logistics, and reports directly to Christopher Clinton Conway, Executive Director, The Joffrey Ballet.
The Managing Director works closely with Academy Artistic Directors and Faculty to ensure that all programs are adequately supported and that mutually-established goals are achieved.
A minimum of seven years of experience in arts management or arts education, preferably as the head of a department or organization for at least two of those years. This person should have experience supervising staff at multiple sites, serving a rapidly-growing client base, as well as creating and managing a budget of more than $1.5 million. An energetic, creative and entrepreneurial, individual who is collaborative, diplomatic and highly self-motivated is preferred. The ability to manage multiple projects at once and be detail-orientated is essential.

Telephone Sales RepresentativesJOFFREY BALLET – TELEMARKETING/SALES/PART-TIME Chicago’s own, JOFFREY BALLET is in preparation for the Fall opening of its 2012-13 Season, “Mavericks of American Dance”. The new season promises to expand the scope of the JOFFREY’S uncompromised celebration of the diversity of the art form and its enduring love of excellence.
Our department is responsible for the task of renewing the subscriptions of current season subscribers and also for the task of increasing our subscriber base by converting those patrons who have previously purchased only single tickets to single performances.
To reach our production goals for the 2012-13 season, we are immediately hiring several individuals to work with us in Priority Seating at the JOFFREY TOWER in downtown Chicago.
The ideal candidates are team players who are comfortable with basic computer functions, confident, mature, refined, enthusiastic, upbeat, dependable and proficient in the skills of telemarketing. Aggressive individuals with excellent communication and conversation skills, possessing an understanding and appreciation of the arts, are also encouraged to apply.
We offer an hourly salary plus commission. All positions are part-time, 16 to 30 hours per week. Evenings and some Saturday mornings are required.
